Bringing humanity back to hospitality

Two friends. One shared frustration. A belief that hotel teams shouldn't spend their days buried in inboxes.

Our  story

Jon-Fredrik “Joffen” Hopland went from touring with major artists and playing Coachella to earning a computer science degree — searching for a problem worth solving.
Kristoffer S. Pedersen is an entrepreneur who has spent years building companies and loves turning complexity into clarity.
When they sat down with hotel teams, they saw the same thing everywhere: talented people buried in repetitive tasks while guests waited.
So in 2024, they built Altek AI. Today, hotels across the world trust it to handle thousands of guest conversations — and hospitality feels like hospitality again.

Our approach

Hospitality is human

Technology should free people to be more present, not replace the human touch.

Speech bubbles with question and exclamation marks symbolizing simple and intuitive communication

Simple > complicated

If it requires hours of training, it’s the wrong solution.

Your hotel, your voice

We adapt to how your hotel works, not the other way around.

Hospitality comes first

Every decision starts with one question: does this help hotel teams create better guest experiences? If not, we don’t do it.

Transparency builds trust

We're honest about what Altek can and can't do. No overpromising, no AI buzzwords, no BS.

Simple by design

The best solutions are the easiest to implement. We obsess over removing friction
