Real-time availability and rate quotes on every drafted email. Guest history, preferences and stay context attached to every conversation. Reservations created, modified and cancelled in Mews, plus payment links and guest notes, so the work behind the reply happens in the same action. Group rollouts inherit configuration property by property.
How the connection works under the hood
Altek authenticates against the Mews Connector API, syncs the property data it needs (rates, room types, restrictions, guest profiles), and listens for inbound emails and messages. Drafts appear in Outlook or Altek Inbox within seconds. Altek Inbox executes the reservation work on approval; Altek for Outlook is read-only and drafts without executing. Each action type is set to draft, approve or auto-send, per property and per risk level.
Setup time
Connecting the inbox is quick, typically the same day once access is granted. Connecting Mews with write permissions takes longer, because the hotel decides and approves which access scopes to grant. Multi-property rollouts move faster after the first, because brand voice, escalation rules and approval rules are configured once at group level and inherited downstream.
Security and compliance
All Mews-sourced data is encrypted in transit and at rest, scoped per connected property, and access is role-based inside Altek. The integration follows Mews's published security and partner guidelines; hotels stay GDPR-compliant by design.
